CBS clearly believes in the power scene, which for the first time in the history of the show will be two hours. The first hour (Thursday, 9/8c, CBS) begins with a routine case of a man who appears at the gas station with a bomb strapped to his chest. When a man detonated a remote detonator, Jane (Simon Baker), Lisbon (Robin Tunney), and teams start to look for clues of human life.
In the end, the keys lead to another jurisdiction – and, more surprisingly, Madeline Hightower (Aunjanue Ellis), who still lead suspect in the murder of a man linked to Red John earlier this season. Because he knows Jane Hightower is not guilty of the crime, it sets up a plan to prove the innocence of Hightower and reveal the real mole in the Red John CBI. To this end, he called Rigsby (Owain Yeoman), Van Pelt (Amanda Righetti) and Cho (Tim Kang), to lure the mole – and Red John himself – in a trap.
Series creator Bruno Heller, expressed a similar idea earlier this season. “I can easily imagine the Red version of the show without John, but we are only in the third season of the show we have now,” he said. “I want to be told that people pay attention to next year and a year later. We have a lot of interesting things to play, but I do not want to throw it all in the mix right away.”

Whatever happens during the autopsy Jane Red John (and just wait until you see that Emmy winner of the show, cast for that juicy role), Gable expects viewers will talk about the finale for a while. “We’ve never done the real Cliff-hanger before, but I think that’s right,” she says. “It answers many questions, but also opens up an entirely new secret.
