Lindsay Lohan Risking Arrest Over 2007 Case

Latest Update News:-Lindsay Lohan risks incurring the wrath of a Beverly Hills judge here Thursday if she fails to appear for a mandatory hearing related to her 2007 convictions for drunk driving.

Lohan, 23, has been ordered to appear before Judge Marsha Revel to explain allegations that she has failed to attend a set number of alcohol education classes stipulated under the terms of her probation.

The TMZ.com entertainment website has reported that Los Angeles prosecutors will urge Revel to issue an arrest warrant for Lohan if she fails to show.

TMZ reported Lohan was unlikely to attend as she was stranded in the south of France at the Cannes film festival after losing her passport.

A court spokesman confirmed an arrest warrant would be issued if Lohan did not appear. “Obviously if Miss Lohan does not appear, a warrant is likely to be issued by Judge [Marsha] Revel,” the spokesman told AFP.

Revel had already extended Lohan’s probation by one year at a hearing in October to address claims the actress had failed to attend enough alcohol education classes.

Lohan was arrested for driving under the influence in May 2007. After a stay in rehab, she was caught two months later for drunk driving and cocaine possession. The arrests led to her serving a mere 84 minutes in jail.

She was also sentenced to 10 hours of community service.

The queen of Hollywood nights and a favorite target of the paparazzi, the former Disney child star was once considered one of the most promising actresses of her generation.

But her career has dipped many times since 2005 amid legal woes, stops in rehab and cinematic flops.

In 2008, the star of “The Parent Trap,” “Mean Girls” and “Bobby” received two Razzie Awards, the satirical prizes presented to Hollywood’s worst actors.
