Lauren Conrad Reality Show

The “high brow” show followed Conrad, the 25-year old pseudo-star as she planned to focus on building her up-and-coming fashion line. The season was filmed and, after seeing the final product, MTV passed.

“It was a great attempt but it just didn’t feel like a perfect fit for us now,” David Janollari, MTV’s executive vice president and head of programming, told EW.com on Friday.

Lauren Conrad was not as gracious in the denial. In a move that can be expected from audiences who watched her on the MTV series, “The Hills,” Conrad insulted both MTV and their viewing audience.

“We sold a show to MTV, filmed it and are really proud of the final result,” Conrad said. “We delivered the show that we sold, and are sorry MTV didn’t feel their viewers were savvy enough to appreciate it.”

Lauren Conrad claims that MTV would still buy it and broadcast it if she would take out some of the “high brow” bits and substitute them with scenes about her personal life.
