730edb954ckistan.jpg Kashmir Dispute between India And PakistanThe Kashmir dispute as the source of strained relatioship between two countries needs no elaboration as hundreds of articles .The Kashmir issue has been a source of non-endurable bilateralism between the two countries since 1947 without any solution over the years with huge defence expenditures on both sides under the threat of insecurity,particularly for pakistan.Comprising 222,236 sq. kms in the nothwest of the subcontinent with enormous geo-strategic importance.

Due two the distupe of Kashmir two wars has been provoked between the two neighbours in 1948 and in 1965.The dispute is also responsible for security concern related to the two countries having achieved nuclear capabilities confronting each other as had happened in the 2002 military stand off.

Kashmir Dispute become international when india took this issue to the UN in 1948.The security council on 21,April 1948 adopted a resolution which went in to the force in janurary 1949 resulting in ceasefire. The US failed to resolve the issue.This matter is now a disputed matter but UN did nothing to resolve this issue.
