Jenny Thompson Attacked Near Boston

Olympic swimming champion Jenny Thompson was among the latest in a series of motor scooter thefts or attempted thefts in the Boston area.

A New Hampshire native, Olympic gold medalist Thompson, 37,  fought off two men who tried to steal her scooter on Monday night and later identified a man who was arrested and accused of the theft attempt.

Boston-area police say the motor scooters are easy to steal, but declined to speculate on whether the scooters are being stolen for their parts.
