Essence Atkins

Essence Atkins: The new television series entitled “Are We There Yet,” premiered this evening on TBS. Essence Atkins  plays the role of Suzanne, a single mom with two teenage kids.

“Are We There Yet?” is based on Executive Producer Ice Cube’s popular movie in 2005. The show is set six months after Suzanne and Nick (Terry Crews) got together at the end of the 2005 film.

Terry Crews will be starring in the show as Nick. He marries Suzanne, who has two kids named Lindsey and Kevin. They have been a family for only 6 months, and the kids have started to refer to Nick as “Daddy,” although in a snotty way. The Kingston-Persons family is united under one roof, but that doesn’t mean they’re all united.
