Edna Lim Mei Ling:-The 40 years old Singapore actor Tay Ping Hui and his girlfriend Edna Lim Mei Ling, 39, married on last Friday at the five-star Capella Singapore hotel at Sentosa. It was a simple ceremony and only close friends and relatives were invited. Out of 35 tables only one was reserved for celebrities and Hui says he only invited those who are very close to him. The wedding ceremony held according to Chinese traditions. Last year Edna Lim Mei Ling accepted his proposal and they planned to marry in May 2010 after General elections. But the couple says they couldn’t wait so decided to do it now. Hui says his marriage ceremony was held in a traditional way and he fulfill all the marriage rites including wedding bouquet on the same day and marriage registration but the hardest part was fetching the bride.

Hui says all planning was done on Friday and his close buddies helped him. Hui rejected all sponsorship offers for the ceremony and paid the entire cost of the banquet. A report says that it was a five-figure sum.
The couple is very happy now and they are planning to buy a new home. His wedding car and the dress which he wore at the ceremony was sponsored by his close friends. One of his close friends sponsored the in house photography.

Currently, they are living in a colonial-era residence but as the property market cools they will shift to a home on Sentosa. Tay Ping Hui and his girlfriend Edna Lim Mei Ling will go to Europe for honeymoon after the completion of Hui’s current drama series.
